About This Week’s Action
We are kicking off a month of spring cleaning posts here at Women’s Money Week. This week’s action tip helps you to organize your thoughts, goals, and priorities in life which will help you clarify your direction for where and how your money should be spent going forward.
Why You Should Make Your Happiness Plan
You’ll be happier.Setting goals is a key aspect to happiness. It’s that simple.
You’ll have direction.
Making a happiness plan is a part of spring cleaning because it helps you sort through the details of your life and gives you direction for the future.
You’ll save money.
Because you know what to spend money on to be happy, you’ll save money because you’ll start spending less on things that don’t matter to you.
You’ll feel better about your spending.
With a happiness plan on hand, you’ll stop feeling guilty about spending more money on things that really matter to you because you will know that they bring you happiness.
How Long Does This Action Take?
Creating a happiness plan will take you about 4-6 hours divided over two days. Giving the plan enough thought and reflection will make the plan more accurate and easier to follow.
How to Create a Happiness Plan
For the second annual Women’s Money Week last week, I wrote an entire post about how to create a plan to maximize your happiness. Go read that post now and follow through with the actions this week.
Commit
Instead of filing this away in the “do it later” cabinet, commit to taking this action this week. Leave a comment below to let us know exactly when you’re going to set aside the time to make your happiness plan. Set a calendar reminder for yourself and take the time to make your plan.
So true.. When you have a plan, you have a better understanding of what you are going to do in order to achieve them. Setting goals, saving, are ways to reach happiness.
